blufive?
When playing games online, it is traditional to use a nickname or handle of some sort. When I started playing online games on a regular basis in 1998, I settled on "blufive". It seemed natural to carry this over as my LiveJournal username, and hence to this site.
I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to work out the origin of the name. It's fairly obscure, and I've only ever seen one other person using it (waves at the person posting in assorted American Star Wars web forums), which is quite an achievement for this sort of saddo-fanboy alias. So if you've bumped into "blufive" on European online gaming servers (particularly TFC or UT2K3), slashdot, or other web fora, that was probably me.

This site exists to play host to whatever assorted rants/essays/stuff I feel like sharing with the world. This site is updated infrequently, and mostly consists of longer rants.
Any day-to-day rant-ettes are more likely to end up on my LiveJournal
The stuff here is mostly concentrated in three areas - SF conventions & fandom, Computer games, and the internet.
