Four More Conventioneers Arriving...

I was completely stumped for this cover. I thought it would be fun to continue with the idea of venue-themed cover art, but didn't really know what to do.

Having walked past Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in 1997 while attending Intervention, I thought it was a fabulous building, and therefore wanted to use it on the cover. Somehow, we then ended up with the idea of "Liverpool Cathedral is a Flying Saucer".

From there, it was a short slither to the idea of aliens arriving to attend the convention. One swift bit of photo-montage and cartooning later, we had our cover.
